Summary

Hello world, I'm Ana and I'm an illustrator!

I've been drawing and creating my whole life, publishing my first illustrative work at 9 years old ("Šareni bicikl", 2005.)

After finishing high school at "MIOC" (Math and natural sciences high school) in Split, I enrolled at the Faculty of Philosophy to study English studies and Linguistics. After a few months I quit and enrolled in the Design of Visual Communications department of the Arts Academy in Split, Croatia, which I graduated with a BA in 2020.

In 2022. I finished a 6-month 3D modelling, texturing and animating course at "PISMO" - a creative business incubator - in Novska, Croatia.

I'm best at illustrating, brainstorming, and coming up with new words!

I'm most at peace when I am working, which I prefer to do alone, but there's few things in life as rewarding as working with a team that understands you and shares your values and passions!

    fundl is a platform focused on helping creators find ambassadors to crowdfund their projects (comic books, board games, etc.)

    I made the mascott(s) and put them in various situations to make the platform friendly and cute.

    dReader was a platform for discovering, trading, collecting, and reading digital graphic novels.

    I mostly illustrated the bunny mascott named BunBun to be used as promotional material, made Discord and other social media assets, did covers for graphic novels, made stickers, etc.

    A digital Christmas card for the subscribers of Promocija BB, a marketing agency based in Split, Croatia.

    I did an illustrated review for the portal kulturpunkt.hr of the independent event "Platformat" which is held at the platform of "Home of the Young" a.k.a. "Dom mladih" in Split, Croatia.

    Starting as an apprentice, I worked mostly on editing photos in Photoshop, creating icons and pictograms in Adobe Illustrator, and doing many "need this fast" types of tasks.

    After finishing my apprenticeship, Karlo Kazinoti and Mišo Komenda gave me more illustrative assignments, such as the "MyMap" project (which I did vector icons for) and "The Guitar Days" for which I illustrated a poster and made the accompanying brochures, design, etc.

    March 2019 - October 2022

    I worked with Mirinda Games on two separate projects, "Nonogram from Long Ago" (2019) and "Ancient Tales" (TBA), which you can both see in my portfolio.

    "Nonogram" is a logical puzzle following fantastical stories by Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić, and has illustrations as rewards at the end of each Chapter. I mainly did illustrations and design, but I also created some UI concepts and gave UX feedback, as well as general art feedback, etc.

    For "Ancient Tales", a 2D metroidvania platformer that received video game development funding from HAVC in 2022, I made all the visuals.

    Settling on a pixel-art look, I created characters, environment, platforms, animations, UI elements, etc.
